Repairing a Surface 3 Pro

Mensaje por JoeClark » 11 Oct 2017, 06:18

Need help assessing where to get my Surface 3 Pro fixed. A few months ago, I dropped it, but it continued to work fine. However, that night I put it to sleep, and the next day, it would not turn back on. I worked with Microsoft Support over the phone (and later at the Microsoft Store), but nothing could get it back on. Pressing the various buttons did not cause the power on the cord to blink, so something is registering in there, but the computer would not turn on. The store said they could recover the date for $ 150, but it would require breaking the screen.Fast forward to last week, and I was about to take them up on their offer, but I randomly decided to turn on the computer and it worked! However, I like it, I put it to sleep again, and it did not come back on.
I've read (everywhere) that it's very hard to fix this guy, even if it would be easy once you're inside, due to the fragility of the screen. However, it seems like there is some way this still very functional machine could be saved given that it clearly could still work.

I did not find the right solution from the internet.
